Megan Benton teaches Humanities in the Key School, including Grade 7 social studies, Grade 6 reading comprehension, and Key Middle School talents classes. Megan is a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, with dual degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education, graduating with Cum Laude Honors.

What interesting background, training, etc. (within education or other industries) do you bring to your position?
"I taught in a Special Education classroom for over five years. I have a lot of experience with many types of learners. I’m hoping to bring a lot of fresh ideas to Key School as well as continue the great work they do."
What professional recognition have you received?
"I graduated college with Cum Laude Honors. I was selected to be on the North Carolina Senate 2017 Mclass panel which addressed Reading Fluency and Comprehension. I also served as Special Education Contact in my previous position where I was the county representative for my team."
