Adelaide Lammers '19 signs to row at Notre Dame

Carolina Day School senior Adelaide Lammers has signed to row at Notre Dame next year. Adelaide will be the first Asheville Youth Rowing Association alum to attend and row at Notre Dame.

The Wildcats held a signing ceremony on Wednesday, November 28, to celebrate the achievement. CDS does not offer a rowing team, but as Steve Henry, CDS Director of Athletics explained, “This accomplishment by Adelaide is to be celebrated. Her work as a rower has been impressive in her countless hours of her commitment—from the thousands of meters on the water, or in a weight room, or on an indoor rower, and the road trips across the southeast—which we commend. But as important has been her place within this community—from serving as an ambassador in the Upper School, a leader among her peers with Habitat for Humanity, her commitment to academics, to her love of her friends and family.”

Adelaide said, “I just want to say thank you all for being here. I would not be where I am today without the love and support of this community and my family and friends. So thank you so much for your constant support.”

Congratulations, Adelaide!
