Tae Kwon Do Students Test For Belts

The Tae Kwon Do class is testing for new belts. Tae Kwon Do has been part of the Upper School curriculum for nearly 15 years. During that time, over 16 Black Belts have been awarded to students and teachers who participated in the program. Upper School science teacher and Tae Kwon Do instructor, Joanne Bartsch, says she teaches in a traditional style with a focus on learning forms and techniques for self-defense, rather than competition. She also puts a strong emphasis on incorporating the tenets of Tae Kwon Do (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit) into their everyday lives. #CDSlearns
