What do SmartBoards, Parking Spaces, Sgro Bleachers, and Puppies have in common?
Hint: Al Capone
Returning to campus after summer vacation, you or your children probably noticed that many of the classrooms in every division have new state-of-the-art technology and Sgro Athletic Complex on Sweeten Creek received some significant upgrades. How did this happen? Door 1345 Speakeasy, our 2017 auction event, raised the funds to purchase 20 new SmartBoards for faculty and students to use in class, funded teacher training so the new technology can be leveraged for optimal teaching and learning, and made improvements at Sgro such as spectator shelter, new bleachers, and an outdoor sound system possible.
As we kick off the new school year, we congratulate those who won some pretty great items and experiences such as:
The campus street-naming for 2017-18
Two reserved parking spaces on campus for the 2017-18 school year
The famous Auction puppy!
A cameo appearance in a future Ingles commercial
2017-18 Tuition Raffle
A luxury week at Rosemary Beach ®
Moonshiner for a Day and Mountain Hideaway stay
And many others!
Thank you to everyone who participated in Door 1345 in any and every way: whether you attended the Club Willy Temperance Party, the Door 1345 Speakeasy gala, bought Tuition Raffle tickets, and/or made a donation to the cause, you helped us make some great improvements for our students this year!
All proceeds from the event and from generous bids on Door 1345 auction items had a profound impact on our classrooms and athletic center, and these additions and improvements will benefit all 652 students this year and well beyond.
