The Carolina Day campus gathered together to celebrate an ACC recruit — soccer player Emily Hull.
Hull has signed with Wake Forest. She is a goalkeeper for the Wildcats and was named to the NCISAA 2-A all-state, All-Carolinas Athletic Association and Citizen-Times All-WNC teams as a junior.
Hull plays for the Highland Football Club in the offseason.
A coaching change at Davidson in November caused Hull to re-open her recruiting after initially committing to the Wildcats. Wake Forest was the benefactor, according to coach Tony da Luz.
"We were very fortunate to get Emily very late in the recruiting process," da Luz said.
"When she reopened her search after a coaching change at her previous school we jumped at the opportunity. She’s a hard-working goalkeeper and a tremendous student. She will immediately push Lindsay Preston and Nonie Frishette and will provide us with incredible depth at the goalkeeper position."
